Last week i got an email from Dr Lim Chan Koon, the former lecturer in UNIMAS. He offered me to a consultancy job on Empurau/Kelah breeding that i'm really exited to do it again. After some leisure discussion and some future plan, we comes out with 2 scopes of job.
Job 1: Advice on equipment needed for breeding purposes.
Job 2: Demonstration on how to anesthetise the fish, hormone implant, injection, handling, treatment, egg stripping, dry fertilization, fry handling and growth out. Lets do it.

This is Dr  Lim Chan Koon, owner of the Bird Nest, Gaharu and Emprau farm. We discuss how to plan the breeding, what should and shouldn't do. Plan what to buy and start to build hatchery.

Big pond to hold the empurau breeders with technology biofilter.

Survey how to build hatchery.

Survey equipment for the hatchery, looking for some goods such as fiberglass tank, equipment for incubator tanks, and others before i fly back to KL.

Token of appreciation from Dr and family, really appreciate that,,The family and staff really make me part of them. Happy and enjoy to work in here :)

Before go back, enjoy the night in Kuching Sarawak. See u all again for the next breeding trip.

Netting Fish at TPU pond UPM

Salam,,,

Long time no see, mybe i'm busy asissted Ph.D student (Mr Lawali Alkali Argungu) in the lab doing fish hormonal profile lab work, then have no time to update my blog. mmmm...the story is not today but last week, my master friend call and asked me to help her in a pond. She said they need men power to netting fish in one of TPU pond UPM. She want to select black Tilapia from the pond as her master project experiment which is about polyculture with snakehead. So at the day in the morning around 10 am we start gathered and discussed how to conduct the task. There was only 4 men and 5 females that will hold the net to trap the fishes in the pond.

The pond that we netting the fish, very big right??
Make sure the fish not escape from the bushes
Because of the pond really large we need to make it into 4-5 round to cover, Fuhh....
Remove all the rubbish such as branch tree, leaves etc.
Got big Grass carp, kita bbq la ape lg,,haha
Got a lots of Black Tilapia still not enough need to make 4 more round..
Got "Ikan Patin" or Pangasius hypophthalmus big one.
 Passionate netting team :)
Move the fish from TPU pond to Puchong tanks by truck
Wonder team, other two men power not here..Happy work with u guys.. ;)

Please Call me again if u need help.. Don't Hesitate, my pleasure to help and have fun :)
