New Life in UPM

My new life at UPM Hostel, Serdang Selangor.

In my hostel / room i have one aquarium at first, then i fell comfortable and i love peace when look at my fish then i decide to add 3 more aquarium to culture several ornamental fish such as Beta, Guppy, Gourami, Rummynose, and also my favourite fish Kelah and many more. I love make some experiment in my room such as to test several hormones to induced breeding to the fish, then i also love to hybrid the fish and look at the result what happen to the babies. The new one i have hybrid different type of Betta such as Halfmoon X Double tail.. We will see what happen next.

This is my aquarium, is it beautiful right..hehhehe ;). At the bottom i put undergravel filter, the filter will suck the sludge and fish faeces via pressure from aeration tunnel. The wastage will be feed by good bacteria and they will propagate to help improve water quality inside the aquarium. Inside the aquarium i also plant some aquatic trees to give good gas exchange environment.

Aquarium already bought, water already fill in, anticlorin, gravel, pump, lamp and all already set up.. What we waiting for?? Start the moto engine then go nearest shop and shopping fish the go back collage immediately put the fish into the new aquarium.. Beautiful..But tomorrow go back to the shop told the tokey that the fish yesterday already died,,,,Whyy?? That is one of the bad situation that we always face on when set up new aquarium then immediately put the fish..That mean, after set up pour the water then immediately put the water,,,wahh best.. (30 min later) and after 2, 3 hour later..All the fish died...huhuhu.

What we wrong here?? I know many of fish admirer face similar situation at the first because we don't know what happen right and what the right way to handle it...Right?? Actually, the fish die because of all the mineral, heavy metal and dissolve chemical in the water source from government pipe still not yet neutral. So my advice to lets the new added water in the aquarium for at least one day and all the pump and powerhead turn on so that the water will move and flow. pH in the water will stabilize, all the chlorine will disperse to the air. After that, this is the right time u can put the fish...The important tips... Patient..:)
